Introduction

Olive Christian Malvery (1871 - 1914) was a pioneering undercover journalist and social reformer of mixed Asian and European heritage, best known for her investigations into the working conditions of poor women and children in London.

Despite being a well-known, influential and successful figure in her own lifetime, she has never been the focus of a biography, and incorrect information about her life is widespread. This website is part of an ongoing research project aiming to fix that.

Please note, this website is a work in progress and will be regularly updated to create and share a proper and factual account of her life and works.
